Wizkid Deletes Tweets After Promising To Build Schools In Africa


Popular Nigerian singer, Ayo Balogun, better known by his stage name, Wizkid, during the weekend, took to Twitter to announce his plan to build schools in every country in Africa.

Hours after baring his intentions via a series of tweets, Starboy took down his post leaving his fans pondering on the authenticity of the tweets.

The singer had called on his fans to help him choose countries, where he would launch the initiative.

The tweets had read: “Using my own profits from this business partnership with Nike to build a school back home in Lagos. #Educationforeverychild.

“I’ll need help from fans to pick where we start this. Trying to build a school in every country in Africa. That’s my dream. Surulere, Lagos, Ghana and Benin Republic.”

Bear in mind that the singer had earlier announced the release date for his collaborative effort with sports company, Nike, on branded jerseys.

According to the superstar, the jersey would go on sale from Monday, September 10.
